Hridoy of Bangladesh Ansar emerged men’s singles champions in the Credence Cup Prize money Open Ranking Table Tennis tournament beating Mahbub of Bangladesh Army by 4-3 in the final held on Saturday at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city.
Earlier, on way the final, Mahbub of Bangladesh Army beat his teammate Hasib by 4-1 in the first semi-final while Hridoy of Bangladesh Ansar confirmed the spot of the final defeating his teammate Parag in the second semis.
The champion Hridoy (Bangladesh Ansar) , runner-up Mahbub (Banglaesh Army), Hasib (Bangladesh Army) and Parag (Bangladesh Ansar) received cash prizes of Taka 20,000, 15,000, 10,000 and 7,000 respectively.
Joyjatra Foundation chairman Helena Jahangir was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes among the winners.
Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) Khondakar Hasan Munir, BTTF vice president Sheikh Jahangir Alam, BTTF vice president Munira Morshed Helen, BTTF joint secretary Samir Uddin and BTTF member Anwar Kabir were present on the occasion.
