Rapid Action Battalion (RAB ) arrested two persons, including the president of ‘Society for Establishment and Implementation of Human Rights,’ and recovered about 60,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from a private car carrying sticker of a Human Rights Organization in Patia upazila of Chattogram district on Wednesday afternoon.
The detainees are identified as Nasibur Rahman Nasib, 42, and his car driver Md Rashed, 27.
On information, members of RAB-7 stopped the car at Amjur Hat on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway and recovered the yaba pills from it, said Mashqur Rahman, Assistant Director of RAB-7. In interrogation, Nasib disclosed that he introducing himself as the president of a human rights organization used to transport Yaba tablets from Cox’s Bazar to different parts of the country by a car with sticker for a long time, the ASP said.
