“HR HULK-in search of a Smashing HR Manager” an Inter-University HR competency competition was held recently at United International University (UIU) auditorium. The event was organized by the HR Forum a wing of UIU Career Counseling Center.
The competition involved a HR Completion along with two panel discussions- HR Profession in 21st century: Opportunities and Challenges, Skills and Competencies for HR profession in 21st Century. Prominent HR personalities from different successful organizations were present at the panel discussion. With four rounds of different levels, the competition involved 48 teams of 3 members each, with a total of 144 contestants from 13 different universities across the country.
Tausif Ahmed a student of IBA won the challenge and got taka twenty five thousand as a prize money. “HR Hulk was not just a business competition, it was an extremely well designed and well-thought business competition arranged by UIU that provided endless stress and challenges from round one till the finale” said the title holder.
“The entire competition was conducted and judged with utmost fairness and transparency and the management from starting to end was definitely praiseworthy” he added.
The first runner-up Nabid Hassan Kafi (IBA) got Tk 15000 and the second runner-up Shadman Shoumik Anik (UAP) got Tk 10,000 as prize money. Mahfuza Begum (UIU) became the third runner-up.
Md. Abdul Mubeen, NDC, PSC (retired), Chairman UPGD (United Power Generation & Distribution Company Limited) was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony presided by Prof Dr M Rezwan Khan, Vice Chancellor (UIU).
Ananta Jalil, Chairman, AJI Group and actor was present as the chief guest of the closing ceremony where Afiea Nusrat Borsha (Managing Director, Monsoon Films), Aftab Mahmud Khurshid (Group CMO) were also present for the prize giving and closing ceremony.
