HR activist demands suspension of Jessore SP

Award winning human rights activist Binoy Krishna Mallik has demanded suspension of job of Jessore police boss Anisur Rahman. Binoy, executive director, Rights Jessore who is also former vice-president of Jessore Press Club came up with the demand at a press conference held at the local press club on Monday noon.
In the press conference, Binoy Krishna Mallik said the district police boss has forcibly and unlawfully ousted the dwellers who had been living on a plot of government owned land on AP 20/72 having allotments from the authority for a long. ‘The superintendent of police became angry with me as I favour the affected,’ Binoy added.
A number of plainclothes policemen handed my son Sabuj Mallik to Phultala station police after picking him up from in front of Jessore Brach National Bank in Jessore town at around 9pm on March 9 along with 50 bottles of Phensedyl, as part of repression on me, Binoy further said.
