How to get tested for Covid-19

There are three ways for someone who wishes to be tested for Covid-19 to arrange sample collection.
First, you can call SasthaBatayan or the hunting number or the DGHS ((333, 16263, or 01944333222) and recently established lab call cell will inform the local health official at the district and upazila level to collect the sample. Secondly, you can contact institutes that have testing facilities directly, and they will arrange collection of samples. Thirdly, you can contact assistant health officials at the union-level office and they will arrange it, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Director (MIS) Dr Md Habibur Rahman. The government has already expanded the testing facilities to 14 centers across the country for rapid testing of the suspected patients in line its decision to conduct 1,000 Covid-19 tests per day.
Prof Abul Kalam Azad, Director General of Directorate General of Health Services, said on Saturday that a total of 553 samples were collected in the last 24 hours, of which 434 were tested.
Testing facilities in Dhaka are:
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the Institute of Public Health, Dhaka Medical College, BSMMU, Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiative (IDSHI), Dhaka Shishu (Children) Hospital, Institute of Armed Forces Pathology and National Institute of Laboratory Medicine.
Outside Dhaka are: Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chattogram, the IEDCR field laboratory in Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital and Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
