There is no Bangladeshi channel that can be seen in India because the Indian population has no passion for our culture.
But about 100 Indian television channels can be seen in Bangladesh whether the majority population wants it or not. It is surely a tragedy.
But more tragedy is that the cable operators unnecessarily telecast Indian movies, both Bengali and Hindi. Even on the first day of the Bengali Sal, the Dhaka East Cable Vision Network telecast Indian movies all day long, as seen at South Goran under Khilgaon Police Station.
As such, we demand the Information Ministry’s urgent interference into the issue so that Cable Operator can telecast no Indian movie.
