TV viewers can recall titles of dramas like Firiye Dao Aronnyo, Kon Kanoner Phool, Chhoto Chhoto Dirghoshwas, etc. To act in these dramas, Abdul Barik Mukul came into limelight at the end
of 80s. Mukul was born
on September 22 in 1956 at Rejendrapur village in Singair, Manikganj. There is a shooting house in that village which is known as Mukul’s residence to all. Mukul is residing in Dhaka’s Hatkhola area now. He is not regular in acting now. He is passing days at his residence most of time. He is very simple and quiet person in personal life. He never shows any interest by own at first. But when he finds any
interest to anybody he loves. According to this noted actor, viewers’ loves are great
achievement in his acting career.
Mukul informed that at Hatkhola, there was a video shop titled Munia Video. BTV’s producer Kh M Harun also lived there. Once Harun kept a letter in that shop and also requested him
to meet. After meeting Kh M Harun, Mukul first acted in BTV’s drama Firiye Dao Aronnyo in 1989. Tauquir Ahmed first acted in this drama where Munira Yousuf Memy was their co-actor. From that time to till date, Mukul acted in 300 dramas. Though he was not attached with any theatre troupe but Mukul acted in Kh M Harun directed play Shesh Nawab under producer based workshop. He also acted in recently deceased director, playwright and actor Kayes Chowdhury directed play Meherjaan. He lastly acted in a drama directed by Tarik Hasan. He yet not acted in any movie.
