Miscreants killed a housewife by slitting her throat at Borashur village in Kashiani upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Ratna Begum, 25, wife of Mafikur Sheikh, a resident of the same village.
Officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station K M Ali Nur Hossain said Mafikur spotted his wife’s throat-slit body lying in a room of their house around 9.00pm and informed police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection.
