Housewife’s throat slit body found in Ishwardi

The body of the housewife was recovered in Ishwardi with her throat slit. On Thursday (August 25) at around 12 noon, the police recovered the slitted body of a housewife named Shahina Khanam Nilu (53) from Faridpur village of Muladuli Union of the upazila. Deceased Shahina Khanam Nilu is wife of deceased Rabiul Islam Bachchu of Faridpur village.
Local residents said that after the death of her husband Rabiul Islam Bachchu, Shahina Khanam used to stay in that house with her son who was studying honors. Around 1.30 pm, two women from the neighboring house went to see Shahina Khanam Neelu at her house and found her lying in the room with her throat cut. When the incident was reported to the police station, the police reached the spot.
Nachima Khanam, the younger sister of the deceased Shahina Khanam Nilu, said that the sister was killed by slitting her throat in a planned manner. I believe that he may have been killed due to a dispute over property. He said that the relatives of my sister-in-law (deceased Rabiul Islam Bachchu) may be involved in the murder.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi police station Arvind Sarkar said, initially, it is believed that he was killed by cutting his throat with a sharp weapon. The details will be known if the matter is investigated.
