The dead body of a housewife was recovered by police from Kamakhand upazila in Sirajganj on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mahmuda Khatun, 25, wife of one Shahin Alom of Kacharipara village of the upazila.
Saiduzzaman, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kamarkhand Police Station confirming the incident said, “Locals reported to the police station after seeing the body of the housewife hanging in her bedroom in morning. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body and sent it to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib general hospital for autopsy.”
“The family members of the in-laws house have been absconding since the incident. Necessary legal actions would be taken after getting the autopsy report,” the SI also added.
