A housewife was strangulated to death by miscreants in city’s Roufabad area under Baizid Bostami thana on Saturday night.The victim was identified as Parvin Akhter, 35, wife of a Saudi expatriate Nurul Alam. Parvin used to live at an apartment of ‘Joynab Bhaban’ along with her a son in the area.
Police said the victim was rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at 10 am today, where the attending doctors declared her dead. Vitim’s relative Abdullah-Al-Mamun, who was also used to live in another apartment of the same building, claimed that robbers entered into the apartment and locked her only son in the bathroom before strangling Parvin to death.
He said that the robbers brought gold ornaments from the locker of the victim.
