A housewife was strangled to death allegedly by her husband at Parkukhrali village of Sadar upazila on Saturday midnight over dowry.
The deceased was identified as Juli Khatun, 24, wife of Abdur Razzak.
Maruf Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said that Razzak used to torture his wife after marriage over dowry. Following the issue, he strangled his wife to death at midnight.
