A housewife was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband at Ghion village in Nachole upazila early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Serina Begum,52, wife of Hajrat Ali, a resident of the village.
Officer-in-charge of Nachole Police Station Tariqul Islam said Serina locked into an altercation with her husband Hajrat Ali over a family issue in the dead of night.
At one stage, Hajrat stabbed Serina indiscriminately with a sharp weapon at about 3:00 am, leaving her critically injured.
Serina was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injures later.
Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police also arrested Hajrat Ali with the help of local people.
