Police of Bagerhat Sadar Model PS at the direction of Police Super of Bagerhat a housewife (25) who was forced to accept prostitution was recovered from the local brothel situated in Bagerhat district town recently and she was handed over to her husband on the same day.
The husband who hails from Baraikhali village under Morrelganj Upazila in the district disclosed this to the newsmen that my wife left the house about ¾ months ago when a quarrel took place between the husband and the wife over a domestic affairs leaving her baby in the house.
She hide herself hither and thither for the last few months. In the last month (August) she reached Bagerhat bus terminal in order to return home.
At that time two cheats of Bagerhat district town named Mithu and Zakir found her alone there. Then they allured her, took her to the local brothel and sold her to Sonia, a sex worker and one of the chieftains of the brothel at Tk.20 thousand with assistance of some corrupt police of Bagerhat Sadar police outpost.
