A housewife was stabbed to death over land dispute by her brothers-in-law at Herranga village in Hossian Upazila under Kishore district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Sufia Akter, 43, wife of Mohammad Helal Uddin Mia. Two persons were arrested in this suspected connection. One has been identified as Mosrraf and identity of another arrested person could not be known immediately, police said.
Quoting the locals, Additional Police Super Syed Abu Nayem confirmed the matter and said that a team of police launched a drive at Herranga village in Hossian Upazila following an information and arrested two persons in this connection
He said that the arrested persons are being interrogated in this connection.
The police official said that the body had been sent to Kishoreganj Modern Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was lodged with the Hossainpur Police Station in this connection.
