A housewife strangulated to death in her residence in city on Wednesday night. Cruel husband allegedly killed his wife by strangulation in the rented residence at Eidgaon in city under Halishahar thana .
The housewife was identified as Joshna begum(25) .Husband named Sagar Baidya(34) professionally was a quake doctor . After killing his wife in midnight, husband Sagar fled away from the residence . Mother-in-law of the victim informed the matter to police in the morning .
Police recovered the body of Joshna aimed at sending her to medical college hospital morgue for autopsy. Police also detained the mother of the cruel husband in police custody. A case in connection was lodged with Halishahar thana, sources said.
