A housewife was allegedly strangulated to death by her husband and family members for dowry in Char Malshapara area of Sirajganj district on Sunday.
Police arrested the victim’s husband Zahid and her sister-in-law Runa Khatun in this connection. The deceased was identified as Munni Begum, 26, wife of one Zahid Hossain, a resident in the area.
According to sources after killing the killers attempted to marked disappear the body.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to 250-Bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
