One house wife was killed by her cruel husband with sharp weapon due to family feud at Fulbari upazila in Kurigram district on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Anowara Begum 40,wife of Nazir Hossain of village Azoatary Beparipara under Kashipur union of the upazila and also the daughter of late Johur Ali in the same village. Locals and police said both the husband and wife after taking rice at night exchanged hot words about family matter.
At one stage of their altercation the cruel husband Nazir became agitated and chopped his wife with sharp weapon. His wife Anowara was killed on the spot. The parents of the killer Ismail Hossain and Nabizon escaped from the house after the incident. Locals caught the killer Nazir and handed him over to police. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Fulbari police station Rajib Kumar Roy told that the mother of the deceased Abeda Begum filed a murder case in Fulbari thana at night with police.
The killer Nazir Hossain was arrested after that. The body was sent to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination, OC also added.
