A housewife was found dead at Bakshabaid village in Sribardi upazila on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Saufa Begum 18, wife of Hafizur Rahman of Mamdamari village in Sribardi upazila.
Quoting her family police said that Safua lived in her father’s house as her husband works in a garment factory in Dhaka. She remained missing since she went out to respond to the nature’s call on Tuesday morning. Later, her body was found in an abundant field beside her father’s house.
Police suspected that miscreants might have strangled her to death.
Police recovered the body from the spot and sent to district hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Belal Uddin, officer in-charge of Sribardi police station.
