A housewife died after she received a snakebite at Biharipara in Puthia upazila on Thursday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Shaheda Begum, 45, wife of Rajab Ali. Locals said a venomous snake bit Shaheda while she was sleeping in her room early Thursday. Later, she was whisked off to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where she succumbed to her injuries around 3pm. An unnatural death case was filed in connection with the incident.
