A housewife named Dolly Begum (30) committed suicide by consuming gas tablets in Natore’s Baraigram. She died at her home at around 3:30 on Saturday afternoon while preparing to be taken to a local hospital. The deceased Dolly is the wife of Manik Sardar of Kalikapur Bypass area under Banpara Municipality of Upazila.
Locals said that due to a family dispute, Dolly took gas tablets in her bedroom in the absence of everyone at home at around three o’clock on Saturday afternoon. After the family members came to know about the matter, she died while preparing to take her to the hospital.
Abu Siddique, officer in charge of Baraigram police station said that a housewife named Dolly Begum committed suicide. Preparations are underway to send the body to Natore Sadar Hospital Morgue for post-mortem. Further legal action will be taken after investigation.
