One housewife committed suicide by hanging herself with ceiling fan at Sitakunda in Chittagong on Sunday night.
The victim was identified as Shanta Nag, wife of Sonjoy Nag Saju at Choto Komol Doho at Sitakunda in Chittagong. Sources said, the body of the victim Shanta Nag was recovered from her house in the morning.
She was allegedly hanged herself following the family dispute. Sources said, Shanta Nag married Sonjoy Nag Saju at Choto Komol Doho at Sitakunda in Chittagong before seven months. But, her conjugal life was not happy. She informed her parent that her husband and relatives of husband used to torture on her for dowry.
However, the parent of victim Shanta Nag claimed that the husband of the victim might hanged the body of Shanta Nag with ceiling fan after her murder. However, police arrested the husband of the victim in this connection. The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy. After getting the postmortem report, the law enforcers will record the case in this connection.
