Police force in the port city recovered a hanging body of one housemaid from the residence of the Principal of CDA School and College at Chandgaon Residential area in the port on Monday afternoon.
Sensing the news of suicide , police rushed to the spot and recovered the hanging body of the housemaid instantly.
The housemaid identified as Umme Habiba who hails from Chakaria upazila of Coxsbazar district. Family sources said Habiba has relationship with the Principal Nurul Alam’s family. The house lord apprised the police team as the victim is a mental disease patient.
Officer- in- charge of Chandgaon thana Abul Kalam told that Habiba commits suicide hanging with ceiling fan . Police recovered the body and sent to mecial college hospital for autopsy, police added.
