A portion of Dhaka-Chattogram highway was blocked for an hour over a dispute between two fishermen communities on Monday in Bhatiary union’s Mirzanagar area under Sitakunda upazila.
According to Ahsan Habib, officer-in-charge ofBaro AwliaHighwayPolice Station, a faction of fishermen had staged a sit-in protest on the highway against their rival faction, bringing highway traffic to a standstill from 11 am till 12 noon.
