Hotel boarder dies in Barisal falling from roof

One boarder of a luxurious hotel in the city died after falling from the 5th floor of the hotel. Police arrested his roommate and hotel manager in this connection early Monday.
The victim has been identified as Imran Hossain Sikdar alias Sumon, 31, son of Aftab Hossain Sikdar of Fishery Road area under Airport Police Station.
Police recovering the body of Sumon from the road in a critical condition brought to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
However, attending doctor Dhanonjoy Dey declared Sumon dead at 2:30 AM on Monday, said Shakhawat Hossain, Kotwali police station Officer-in Charge.
Shawkat Hossain Hawladar, son of Adam Ali Hawladar, from Bogra Road area of the city and roommate of Sumon, and Milon Hossain, manager of the hotel, have been picked up for interrogation in this connection, the OC said.
Bottles of foreign wine, cash money and playing cards were recovered from their room,
the police official added. Mahmud Hossain, hotel-boy on duty, said Sumon and Shawkat rented Room No. 507 of the hotel at 11:20 AM on Sunday.
Then they with a group of youths drank in the bar situated on the eighth floor of the hotel. But while coming to downstairs engaged in scuffle and Sumon breaking glass of the roadside fall on street at about 2:00 AM, the hotel staff claimed.
Gulzar Hossain, owner of the hotel, was not available for comment and hotel staff denied to give any official statement.
