A five-wicket haul by Sanjamul Islam saw Bangladesh A team smell victory against visiting Ireland on the third day of the lone four-day match held on Friday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Trailing 82 runs in the first innings, Ireland suffered batting debacle in their second innings and eventually all out for 213, setting a paltry victory target of 132 for Bangladesh. Opener James Shanon top scored with 90 runs for Ireland.

Opener Sadman contributed 108 off 219 balls laced with 15 boundaries and first shared 137-runs second wicket stand with his skipper Nazmul Hossain and again 69-run with Yasir Ali who added 69 runs, after Bangladesh resumed their first innings on the second day with overnight score at 38 for 1.
Later, middle order batsman Nurul Hasan (51 n.o) composed a brilliant 50 to stand as night watch batsman on the crease and added 66 runs partnership with Mahadi Hasan (45) for the sixth wicket stand to guide his side to a strong position.
Sanzamul Islam was the other unbeaten batsman with 4 runs on the crease as the bails were drawn for the day.
