Police have arrested Ruhul Amin, an assistant professor in Hossainpur Women’s Degree College in Kishoreganj, for allegedly sharing abusive posts about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook. Police arrested him from Akhrabazar of Kishoreganj town on Saturday.
Hossainpur Police Station Officer -in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman told the New Nation that an abusive post was given to the Prime Minister on 14 October in the name of ‘Dream World is Dark’.
Professor Ruhul Amin was arrested when the matter came to light. Police have filed a case against Ruhul Amin under the Digital Security Act at Hossainpur police station.
