UNB, Cumilla :
A pregnant woman died for alleged negligence in treatment at a private hospital in Gouripur of Daudkandi upazila in the district early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Nurjahan, 22, wife of Dalim Mia of Baghairampur in Titas upazila.
Deceased family members said Nurjahan had a caesareanoperation at Rangdhanu Hospital on August 24 and as her condition deteriorated there she was referred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Nurjahan was taken to DMCH and later shifted to another private hospital where she died early hour of that day Officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station Alamgir Hossain said the relatives of Nurjahan demonstrated in front of the hospital after her death and demanded justice.
