A private hospital employee was allegedly killed in Kurigram municipality on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sharmin Akhtar, 28, wife of Mayedul Islam of Hatirpar village under the municipality and employee of Green Line Hospital Ltd. in Kurigram town.Officer in Charge(O.C)Md.Mahfuzar Rahman of Kurigram Sadar police station told that Sharmin’s husband Mayedul’s house is near his father-in-law’s house in the Hatirpar village.
Sharmin’s mother came to see her in Mayedul’s house and found dead in her room. One of Sharmin’s relatives informed Sadar police station. Police rushed to the spot and rescued Sharmin’s body at 12:30 pm. The body was sent Kurigram General Hospital morgue to autopsy. After receiving post-mortem report of the body, we shall take next step. But, none has filed case yet with the police station in this connection, Officer-in -Charge said.
Sharmin’s father Shahab Uddin Shabu alleged that Sharmin was killed by his son-in-law (Mayedul) as Mayedul is untraced till morning. Mayedul Islam, 35, works a Sales Representative of Unilever Bangladesh Company Ltd. for Lalmonirhat district. He has a four-year-old son name Shidshir.
