Changes in DU admission test

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities brought some changes in the process of DU ‘Kha’ Unit (Fine Arts and Social Science Faculty) admission test for 2014-15 session scheduled to be held September 19, 2014. Sodrul Amin, Dean of Arts Faculty of the University, disclosed this at a press conference held at the faculty dean office on September 16, 2014.
This year, the admission seekers have to answer questions of four subjects out of five. The subjects include- general English, Bangla, elective English, general knowledge-A and general knowledge-B. Speaking at the conference, Sadrul Amin said that the Department of English has set a condition that the students who want to enroll in the department must answer the questions of elective English, including the four subjects they choose. Besides, students who had not read Bangla in higher secondary level as mother language can answer elective English instead of Bangla. Guidelines of choosing any four subjects out of five are- any four with general English and Bangla, any four with general English and elective English, and any four with general English, Bangla and elective English. This year, a total number of 42, 4, 17 admission seekers will sit for 2, 221 seats under ‘Kha’ Unit. On an average, 20 students will vie for each seat.

Bachelor 1st year admission tests of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the academic session 2014-2015 will be started from September 17, 2014. The examinations will continue till September 23, 2014, said a press release from Mohammad Mohiuddin (Ahmed Sumon), Assistant Director, Public Relations Office.
Candidates cannot enter the admission test hall if they carry Book, Bag, Mobile Phone, Calculator, Watch or any other electronic devices. Note that, wall clocks will be available at every rooms. Candidates will be expelled immediately and taken appropriate legal actions if they carry the mentioned devices.

JnU ‘B’ unit admission test tomorrow

The written test for the admission into first year first semester honours courses of the academic session 2014-15 under ‘B’ unit (Arts Faculty) of Jagannath University (JnU) will be held tomorrow. According to press release, at least 50,551 will vie for 710 seats in the test to be held at 3:30 pm to 5 pm at 27centres in the capitals on the day. About 72 admission seekers will vie for each seat. Detailed information of seat plan for this test is available on JnU notice board and website- www.jnu.ac.bd. University authority banned to use of cell phones at the exam hall and if any candidate is found carrying those then his or her exams will be cancelled.

BAU entrance test on Nov 8

The entrance test for the Bachelor (Hons) level admission in Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh under the academic session 2014-2015 will be held on November 08, 2014. Applicants are asked to apply online within September 30, 2014 at the university website: (www.admission.bau.edu.bd). Candidates have to pay the admission fee of Tk. 600/- via Dutch Bangla Bank Limited Mobile Banking Point. The admission test will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The admission test will be held in 100 marks out of total 200 marks. Other 100 will be generated by the SSC and HSC results of the candidates. This year total 1200 students (with 65 reserved seats) will be admitted in BAU.
