Hong Kong shares rallied Tuesday morning, recovering from the pervious day’s sharp losses, as investors welcomed a pledge by Chinese officials to cut taxes as part of a move to support the stuttering economy.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 1.70 percent, or 448.24 points, to 26,746.57 by the break.
