Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks climb on Fed minutes

Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks rallied Friday, in line with a global advance, after minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest meeting suggested it could hold off hiking borrowing costs until next year.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong climbed 1.72 percent, or 383.45 points, to 22,738.36.
And Shanghai’s benchmark composite index gained 0.70 percent, or 21.90 points, to 3,165.26, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 0.64 percent, or 11.41 points, to 1,796.80.
