A five-day honey fair began Sunday on the premises of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) in the capital’s Motijheel.
The BSCIC arranged the fair with a view to creating a market for
different types of honey, promoting honey farming with modern technology and raising awareness about the uses of honey.
Industries Senior Secretary Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan inaugurated the fair at the BSCIC conference room.
Director General of Agricultural Extension Department Md Hamidur Rahman was also present at the inaugural function chaired by BSCIC Chairman Md Hazrat Ali, said a BSCIC release.
