Keisuke Honda put in another man-of-the-match performance as Melbourne Victory thrashed Western Sydney Wanderers 4-0 in weekend A-League action, with the Japanese superstar saying they can get even better.
The former AC Milan striker opened the scoring on 11 minutes with a powerful header and was dominant in an attacking game to help push them up to second in the table, two points behind Perth Glory after six games.
After back-to-back defeats to open the campaign, Victory has now won four on the trot and are getting stronger by the week. “I’m not satisfied yet, I think we can get better,” Honda told Fox Sports. “I scored and the team scored four goals but we also made a lot of mistakes. “What I want to change about the team is we shouldn’t be satisfied even at 4-0.”
