Honda Cars India on Friday announced a recall of 223,578 vehicles of previous generations of CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz to replace airbag inflators, as part of Honda’s preventive global recall campaign concerning airbag inflators, according to a report of the Financial Express India.
The recall will cover 140,508 units of Honda City manufactured between 2007 and 2012, 54,290 units of Civic manufactured between 2003 and 2012, 15,707 units of Jazz manufactured between 2009 and 2011, and 13,073 units of CR-V manufactured between 2004 and 2011.
“The replacement would be carried out free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India in a phased manner, starting from 12th October 2015, and the company will communicate with customers directly,” the company said in a statement.
