To telecast on SA TV with the story focusing the ruination of Jatra (opera) industry in the country, a telefilm has been made on the occasion of ensuing Eid-ul-Fitr. Title of the telefilm is The Kakoli Opera. Brindaban Das wrote script of the telefilm, while Shahneoaj Cacoly has given its direction. It will be aired on Channel i.
Shooting of the telefilm was wrapped up on Wednesday at Konabai’s shooting house in Gazipur. Popular TV actress Homayra Himu performed in a revealing dance as an opera dancer in the telefilm. For the first time, Himu performed in such type of dance in an item song in any telefilm.
While sharing her feelings about the dance actress Homayra Himu told this correspondent, “Basically our opera industry is being destroyed due to presentation of revealing dance at night in the name of Jatra in our country. I wanted to present that type of dance in this telefilm, which was my protest against this kind of activity in the name of Jatra. I have tried my level best to express my role under Cacoly Apu’s direction. I believe viewers will enjoy to watch the telefilm in Eid.”
Richi Solaiman, Joyonto Chatterjee, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Pran Roy, among others, also acted in other roles in the telefilm, Himu said.
About the telefilm The Kakoli Opera full unit is fully impressed.
On the occasion of Eid, Himu acted in Shahadat Hossain Sujon’s directed a play titled Aamar Ekla Akash. It will be aired on SA TV.
Therefore, she also acted in Shafiq’s play Kancher Deyal. Himu has already worked in 13-epiosde serial titled Gunai Bibi under the direction of Kaisar Ahmed, Himu added.
