With due respect and honor, Comilla University (CoU) on August 15 observed the National Mourning Day and 40th Death Anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. To mark the day, the university authority took a day-long program including floral tribute on the mural of Bangabondhu, rally, milad-mahfil, discussion program and many more.
The day started with the floral tribute to the portrait of the father of nation at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall lead by Professor Dr Md Ali Ashraf, the Vice-chancellor of Comilla University (CoU). Among others, CoU Bangabandhu Parishad, CoUTA, Provosts of the halls, Faculty members, CoU central Chaatra League and others offered flowers in the respect of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
At the end of the program, the participants observed one minute silence and offered special prayer for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of Augu15.
