The witnesses of the Holey Artisan Bakery case did not appear in the court on Tuesday. While Dhaka’s Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal Judge Md Mojibur Rahman fixed April 17 as the next date for recording the depositions of the witnesses.
Of the 211 witnesses, the court so far recorded the depositions of 28 witnesses.
On the night of July 1, 2016, a group of five young militants entered the Holey Artisan Bakery and
killed 20 people, including 17 foreign nationals and two police officers.
On July 23, last year, after two years after the incident, Police Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit Inspector Humayun Kabir submitted the charge-sheet of the case while the court framed charges against eight suspects of the case on November 26 of the same year.
