Bangladesh Hockey Federation announced names of 22 Hockey players after consulting their National hockey team head coach Mahbub Harun for the upcoming tour of China.
Earlier 30 players were training in the preliminary squad.
The team is expected to leave on Thursday (August 3) for China where they will play eight warm-up
matches as part of their preparations for the 10th Men’s Asia Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Dhaka in October.
A BHF source said to BSS on Monday that this was not the final Asia Cup squad as the eight excluded players can still be considered for that tournament as National Hockey team also may tour India in September. So these players might be considered for that tour.
