Hockey players start training at BKSP

The national hockey players started their training from Tuesday under the supervision of team’s head coach Iman Gobinathan Krishnamurthy at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) in Savar.
The preliminary selected players earlier on Monday last afternoon reported to head coach Gobinathan after completing their Covid-19 testing formality.  
The players will continue their training camp at BKSP till the tournament.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) picked up a 28-member squad for the national team’s camp for the Men’s AHF Cup 2022, which is also the qualifying event for the next edition’s Asia Cup, to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from March 11-18.
Those who were called for the camp are Goalkeepers: Biplob Kujur, Abu Sayeed Nippon, Asim Gope, Nuruzzaman Noyon; Defenders: Khorshedur Rahman, Farhad Ahmed Shitul, Ashraful Islam, Sohanur Rahman Sabuz, Mehedi Hasan, Rezaul Karim Babu, Shafiul Alam Shishir, Sarwar Morshed Shaon, Khaled Mahmud Rakin; Midfielders: Sarwar Hossain, Roman Sarkar, Naim Uddin, Fazle Hossain Rabbi, Prince Lal Shamanta, Raju Ahmed Topu, Abed Uddin; Forwards: Rasel Mahmud Jimmy, Milon Hossain, Pushkor Khisha Mimo, Arshad Hossain, Deen Islam Emon, Rakibul Hasan Robi(Jr), Mahabub Hossain, Rajib Das.
