Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) observed the Historic Mujibnagar Day-2017 in a befitting manner in the city on Monday.
The university authority organized a discussion titled “Historic Mujibnagar Day and Independence of Bangladesh” at Bijoy Auditorium on the campus.
BUP Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah addressed the discussion as the chief guest while Sub-Commander of 9 no. Sector of Liberation War Captain (retd) Shachin Karmaker was present as the special guest.
The speakers in the discussion highlighted the role of Mujibnagar Government in the liberation war and urged all to be imbued with the spirit of liberation war.
Teachers, students and officials of the university took part in the function, the release added.
