Historic March 7 is the day of our dreams. On the same day Bangabandhu called out- ‘This time the struggle is for liberation, this time the struggle is for freedom’.
We got independence on the call of Bangabandhu. Now the struggle for emancipation is going on under the leadership of the mass Leader Sheikh Hasina.
The speakers said this at a discussion meeting organized by Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League at TIC auditorium on Monday on the occasion of historic March 7.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, Acting President of Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League, said that the struggle for economic liberation is the sunlight of darkness. That is why we have to fight together. March 7 is a historical document of the awakening of Bengali nationalism. We could not hoist the national flag from house to house despite the government directive to observe this day as National Day.
