The trailer of Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi was released yesterday and it has made a huge impact. Rajkumar Hirani, who has made the Munnabhai films with Dutt was vocal about the debt he owed to his star at the trailer launch. “Sanjay Dutt has been a very important part of my career. Have made 4 films- 3 are with Sanju and the 5th one I am making on him. I am what I am because of him.”
Hirani is working on Dutt’s biopic and Ranbir Kapoor is playing Dutt in the film. Ranbir also spoke his heart out on the occasion.
“I was never a fan of work outs and gym. I have been working out in Sanju sir’s gym for the past 10 years, and I remember after three years he came to me and said ‘Main tujhe pichle 3 saal se dekh raha hun, koi difference aaya nahi, tu karta kya hai? But good evening everyone. Congrats to all. The trailer is wonderful. It is amazing to see Sanju sir back on screen.”
Ranbir got emotional talking about his idol. “Like Raju sir said, we all have missed you so much and when we see you on screen it is magical. Something happens deep within. Like all of us here, I have been a huge admirer of Sanju sir. I have had the good fortune of knowing you as a person and I have interacted with you since I was a child. So I know your heart. And I am really happy and welcome back to the movies. We all missed you a lot.”
