A Rangpur Hindu priest named Bijoy Chakrabarty reportedly received death threat on Monday morning around 9.00 am when he was at Mandir- Anandamoyi Shebashrom of the city.
The attendant of the temple, Jharna Rani Mohanta, found a yellow envelope lying on the floor in the morning when she
opened the door of the Mandir for cleaning. The letter reads: Your time is over. However, if you want to live more days, give us twenty thousand taka.
The priest Bijoy Chakrabarty said, he was at home in the Botlapara area of the city in the morning. I could not go because of rain. The attendant of the Mandir Jharna Rani phoned me that she got a letter folded in a yellow envelope on the floor of the Mandir.
