Amid huge outcry following the recent attacks on the Hindu community in Nasirnagar upazila, a group of miscreants set fire on a house of a Hindu resident at Changapur village in the upazila.
Quoting villagers, Officer-in-Charge of Nasirnagar Police Station M Abu Jafar said a group of miscreants set fire on the house of one Chhotto Lal Das around 5am. However, nobody was injured in the incident.
Watching the flame, neighbours of Chhotto Lal rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
Later, Lt Col Shah Ali, Commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh’ s (BGB’s) battalion 12, Nasirnagar upazila chairman ATM Maniruzzaman and Upazila Nirbahi Officer M Liakat Ali visited the spot.
