Popular actress and once Lux superstar Kushum Shikder and popular actress Homayra Himu first performed together in a drama serial titled Ami Arupar Kachh-e Jachchhi under the direction of Mezbaur Rahman Sumon five years ago. Later they had again performed together in another serial under the direction of Kaisar Ahmed.
For third time, they again performed together in a new serial titled Batighor Kotodur. The serial was directed by Mijanur Rahman Labu under the script written by Sourjo Dipto Surjo. It will go on air in any satellite channel soon, said its director Labu.
In the story of the serial Batighor Kotodur, Kushum Shikder and Homayra Himu were introduced each other in Cox’s Bazar while traveling there. Then story of the play continues.
In the serial, Rawnak Hassan is acting against Kushum Shikder, while Sabbir Ahmed is performing against Homayra Himu.
While talking about her performance with Himu in the serial after a break of four years Kushum told this correspondent, “In fact, I am not feeling that after a break of four years I am working with Himu in a serial. Though we didn’t work together during these years we had regular communication with each other. In the acting field, Himu has already established a strong position. I have always wishes for her success. Earlier I had worked under the direction of Labu bhai. He always makes drama very competently. He has a different kind of confidence on his work.”
Himu shared her feelings by this way, “Earlier I had worked with Kushum apu in two drama serials. She is very polite actress. I always enjoy working with her. As a director, Labu bhai is really outstanding. I hope viewers will enjoy the serial.”
It may be mentioned that Kushum acted new drama serials are: Himu Akram directed Nojirbihin Nojor Ali, Sajjad Sumon directed serial 99 Patla Khan Lane, Hasibur Rahman Sumon directed Easy Solution, etc.
On the other hand, Homayra Himu acted drama serials – Sajjad Hossain Dodul’s Sanghat, Jahangir Alam Sumon’s Bhalobasha Kaar-e Koi? Masud Mohiuddin’s Nirbikar Manush, Nasir Uddin Masud’s Somporko and Litu Habib’s Mon O Choragoli are being aired in different satellite channels now.
