Jannatul Sumaiya Himi entered into media through a reality show in 2014. Later she acted in several number of TV plays.
This year Himi for the first time got the scope to work under Kolkata’s Reshmi Mitra in the big screen. She acted in movie Hothat Dekha, which story is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s famous poet Hothat Dekha.
She played the role of Kolkata’s noted film actress Debashree Roy’s young age in the movie. Hothat Dekha is scheduled to be released in both Bangladesh and Kolkata on November 25. She is very much excited about her debut movie.
While sharing her feelings in this regard Himi told this correspondent, “In my childhood, I learnt music and dancing at Chhayanaut. But I never thought to be an actress. When I was attached with acting later started to think to work in the big screen. I got the opportunity to work in a good movie under Reshmidi’s direction. I am very much optimistic about the movie. Everybody pray for me as in future I can work successfully in the big screen.”
Hothat Dekha was jointly produced by Impress Teleflm Ltd and Reshmi Pictures.

Today is Himi’s birthday. This HSC student’s pre-test examination is going on now so she has no arrangement to celebrate her birthday. But she will be present today on ATN Bangla’s Chayer Chumuk at 7:40am, she said.
