Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) rounded up 5 persons allegedly involved with the hijacking impersonating themselves as DB police. The arrested criminals indentified as Md. Didarul Alam, Abdul Awal Tuhin, Riazuddin chowdhury, Mohammad Ali and Faisal Ahmed Maksud. Among them, Riaz is the younger brother convicted Shibir cadre Nasir. PBI sources said they were arrested from Akbar shah thana area in city and Hathazari upazila on Saturday night.
They were involved with the h ijacking incident happened in Fakirhat area under Bandar thana in city on November 20 last where atleast 11 persons were involved.
Law enforcers are hunting vigorously to apprehend the remaining culprits, sources added.
