One police ASI Faizur Rahman and constable Faisal Ahmed were suspended from service following the escaping of one accused from their custody during treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital yesterday .
District Police Super AKM Hafiz Akhter signed the suspension letter yesterday morning.Additonal police super (SB) Naimul Hasan told that due to negligence in duty, these policemen were closed at police line on Friday night and finally suspended from service yesterday morning.
CMCH sources said an accused in hijacking case was under treatment in Ward No.28 with police guard but the accused escaped from the hospital . The hijacker identified as Syed Alam and he is the leader of organized hijacking gang of Chittagong. The accused hails from Boalkhali upazila and son of one Shamsul Alam of East Gomdandi, Boalkhali, sources said.
