Highest remittance comes from KSA in July-Sept

The expatriate Bangladeshis working in Saudi Arabia sent the highest amount of US$ 600.51 million remittance during the July-September period of the current fiscal year.
According to Bangladesh Bank statistics, the country received a total of $3.232 billion in remittance from different countries of the world in the first three months (July to September) of the current fiscal year 2016-17 Saudi Arabia is followed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as Bangladeshi wage earners in this Gulf country sent $551.04 million in the three months.
The USA has been the third top remittance sending country as Bangladesh received $429 million during the period while the next countries are Malaysia ($319.91 million), Kuwait ($244.55 million), Oman ($228.94 million), Qatar ($133.68 million), United Kingdom ($168.88 million), Italy ($ 127.99 million), Singapore ($87.04 million) and Bahrain (83.65).
Meanwhile, another data shows that Bangladesh received a total of $268.79 million in remittance in first seven days of current month (October) from different countries.
